POSTAGE STAMPS: Hunger Awareness
Build on the concepts of mark-making. Using basic semiotic principles such as indexical signs, icons, and symbols, I have created an image collection that has depth and breadth. Through observation, I have illustrated abstract visible objects and shapes in order to design a set of four related postage stamps to raise awareness through simplified and abstracted imagery.
MOCKUP
My general theme was donating food to people who are in need. It shows how donating can bring smiles on people's faces. That will encourage people to donate more. My continuous design element is first the colors, I have kept same colors in all the stamps that will help the viewers to quietly see that these stamps are part of a series. Another element is those hands. I have used the same type of hands but in a different variation shows that the all the stamps are related to each other. I have chosen to keep my color theme neutral. I have chosen to keep the hands and the body in blue-green color which shows that we are all equal.

The continuous design element is to make people aware of food insecurity. In this theme, the continuous design element is people's hand. I have included There are helping hands and the hands who are in need of food.
